What is the Patchwork Calendar?
The Patchwork Calendar is an annual collaboration bringing together independent quilt designers from around the world.
You receive a printed 2027 wall calendar, featuring beautiful photographs of the quilts, plus 12 downloadable PDF quilt patterns to keep.
Download the patterns that immediately make your fingers twitch. Save the others for later. Try a new technique, discover a designer you haven’t met before or finally cut into that fabric you’ve been saving for something special.
The calendar is printed on demand at the location closest to you whenever possible, with different sizes available depending on your delivery region, and shipped to patchwork lovers around the world.
But the important bit is this:
The 2027 Patchwork Calendar is only available from 7 October until midnight in your timezone on 12 October 2026. Once it closes, it’s gone for another year.
Which calendar version should I order?
Choose your version according to where your calendar will be delivered, not your nationality, your billing address or the currency you use.

That means:
- If your calendar is being delivered to the USA or Canada, order the USA/Canada version.

Not sure which size to choose? Letter is similar in size to A4, while Ledger is similar in size to A3. The only difference is the printed calendar’s paper size. Every version includes the same 12 downloadable PDF quilt patterns.
Quick answer: USA or Canada delivery address = USA/Canada.
Every other country = Rest of World.
What is the 2027 Patchwork Calendar actually worth?
One of the things I really wanted when I created the Patchwork Calendar through Craftapalooza Designs was for it to feel like much more than simply buying a calendar.
Because it is.
When you purchase the 2027 Patchwork Calendar, you receive the printed wall calendar plus 12 downloadable PDF quilt patterns, one from each of the participating designers.
The collection includes a mix of new designs, refreshed favourites and patterns previously created for special events or collections.
Based on their individual retail values, the 12 patterns have a combined value of approximately AUD $242.
Then there’s the printed calendar itself.
For the A4 / Letter edition, the printed calendar is valued at AUD $35, bringing the combined retail value to AUD $277.
The A4 / Letter calendar sells for AUD $54 (approx. USD $38 / CAD $54 / £29 GBP / €34).
So you’re getting around AUD $277 worth of calendar and quilt patterns for AUD $54, a saving of AUD $223, or around 80% off the combined retail value.
For the larger A3 / Ledger edition, the printed calendar is valued at AUD $44. Add the 12 patterns and the combined retail value is AUD $286.
The A3 / Ledger edition sells for AUD $63 (approx. USD $45 / CAD $63 / £33 GBP / €39).
Again, that’s a saving of AUD $223, or around 78% off the combined retail value.
And you definitely don’t have to make them all in 2027.

If hand stitching makes you happy, All the Stars might have your name written all over it.
Barbie Mitchell has combined English paper piecing, hand-pieced Y-seams, needle-turn appliqué and big-stitch quilting in one gorgeous sampler-style quilt.
There’s even a featured text panel that you can personalise using the included alphabet templates, giving you the opportunity to make this quilt very much your own.
Blair Stocker: Arda
Scrap lovers, come closer.
Blair Stocker of Wise Craft Handmade has designed Arda, a striking quilt that uses the relationship between light and dark fabrics to create its beautiful glowing effect.
It’s an approachable design for newer quilters, but I think experienced scrappy quilters are going to have a particularly good time looking at their stash in a completely different way.
Christina Lee: Star Flower
Is it a flower? Is it a star?
Yes. 😉
Christina Lee of Sweet Potato Quilts has designed Star Flower, a clever block-based quilt where floral shapes create a hidden star in the negative space between them.
Colour placement creates all sorts of possibilities here, so this is one of those quilts that could look completely different every time it is made.
Emma Jean Jansen: Fruit Tingle
Bright, graphic and bursting with colour, Fruit Tingle is Emma Jean Jansen doing what Emma does so beautifully.
Simple piecing creates bold circles and crosses with a secondary pattern appearing across the quilt.

Miss Leela: Hexie Love Story
A little love story, stitched one hexagon at a time.

Mayfair Petals by Jemima Flendt of Tied With A Ribbon is a joyful modern floral with plenty of room to make it your own.

Lynett Muhaso of LynsAvenue has taken the traditional Bear Paw block and supersized it for Beary Pawsome, using just four oversized blocks to create one fabulous modern quilt.
The simple piecing leaves plenty of room for colour to do the talking, whether you're a solids lover or someone who can never resist another print. And just look at that hand-quilted texture.

Look for Rainbows by Megan Collins combines rainbow arcs and fluffy clouds into a playful clamshell-style design.

Rachelle Denneny: Step Right Up
Colour takes centre stage in Step Right Up by Rachelle Denneny.
Large hexagon shapes are constructed using clever strip piecing and a 60-degree kaleidoscope triangle ruler, with appliqué details adding another layer of fun.
Make it rainbow-bright, take it into soft pastels or head in an entirely different direction.

Nic Vaughan: Space Cadet
And finally, there's Nic's contribution to this year's Calendar: Space Cadet. 🌟
Space Cadet began with a vintage quilt block and somehow wandered off into the cosmos.
Interlocking blocks create a repeating design that feels both nostalgic and fresh, and I designed this one especially with hand piecing in mind.
There are Y-seams, pivoting seams and plenty of lovely repetitive stitching to sink into. Two scalloped, bias-bound edges add a little whimsy.
Space Cadet is gloriously scrappy, because apparently asking Nic to choose only a few fabrics remains wildly unrealistic.
Twelve designers. Twelve patterns. One very good year.
